Hover is making the homeowner journey easy, transparent and fun. Starting with the home improvement industry, we’re answering age-old questions like, “What is it going to look like?” and “What is it going to cost?”, by helping homeowners and pros visualize what’s possible with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and interactive 3D property models. Homeowners, contractors, and insurance professionals all use Hover to get fully measured, accurate, and interactive models of any property—in a matter of minutes, and with just a few snaps of a smartphone camera.
Join a team that is rooted in challenging the status quo, persistence, and dedicated to serving our employees, customers, and communities. With key investors, including Google Ventures and Menlo Ventures and leading insurance carriers such as Travelers, State Farm, and Nationwide, Hover is committed to changing the world, one home at a time. At Hover, we believe there is strength in diversity and are fostering an inclusive and diverse culture by hiring qualified, talented people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Computer Vision doesn’t just power Hover’s products—it defines them. As we scale our 3D data platform from millions to billions of surfaces, we need a staff-level technical leader who can translate cutting-edge research into durable product capabilities and partner shoulder-to-shoulder with Product Management to decide what we build next. You’ll be the connective tissue between long-term vision, day-to-day engineering, and market-driven product strategy, ensuring that our CV roadmap delivers maximum business and customer impact.
In this role you’ll embed directly with the product trio—Product, Design, and Engineering—to frame problems, size opportunities, and prioritize what makes it onto the roadmap. You’ll run fast discovery loops that turn research discoveries and customer feedback into clearly scoped experiments. You’ll navigate technical uncertainty to make “stop / iterate / scale” judgements. By owning the computer-vision objectives and capacity plan, you’ll communicate trade-offs and resource needs to the executive team.
On the technical side, you’ll architect and deliver end-to-end pipelines for multi-view 3D reconstruction, large-scale scene understanding, and semantic modeling—owning everything from data strategy and labeling standards to training, evaluation, and monitored production deployment. You’ll set engineering benchmarks for performance, reliability, and cost, then lead by example in C++ and Python while mentoring other engineers through design reviews that lift the entire organization’s technical bar.
