Global Mile (GM) is dedicated to building, managing and operating a global logistics network that enables selection from anywhere in the world and delivers customer orders to anywhere in the world, cost effectively. As part of this strategy, we have established a GM team in EU that is responsible for the performance of our carriers, related to international transportation of inbound shipments for Vendors and Sellers.

The GM EU team has the responsibility to work in close collaboration with the Retail and Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) teams developing capabilities, products and carrier strategies that continue to improve our product offerings for Vendors and Sellers. The team also works very closely with the local Transportation and Operations team to leverage existing agreements, assets and capabilities to continue strengthening our product offering to our sellers and extend our reach to our customers across the world. The EU team also works with other GM teams globally, based in locations such as India, US, China, ensuring that we continue to link our Origin capabilities with Destination needs to reduce transportation and shipping costs and improve our on time performance metric and delivery promise.

This Program Manager role sits within the Program Management team of the org and is responsible for leading operations and cost optimization initiatives for the Global Mile EU Destination Operations. The initiatives that you drive may also include systems, processes that need building from the ground up and have no precedent in Global Mile EU operations.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead projects end to end to improve Global Mile destination operations in terms of speed, cost and reliability.
- Own program management activities and metrics for the GM EU team for the projects that you lead,
- Work with cross-functional teams and obtain support from them where needed,
- Become a subject matter expert on processes
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience with Excel
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
