Overview

HubSpot is looking for a content strategist to help us accelerate growth on YouTube to drive more leads for the business. This includes growing HubSpot’s YouTube presence as well as identifying video influencers and creators for our Partnerships team. This high-visibility role sits on the Global Growth Team (part of HubSpot’s Marketing team). It involves close collaboration with our lead YouTube Growth strategist and direct partnership with teams responsible for content creation, conversion rate optimization, and video creator partnerships .

The right person for this role is a strategic thinker and proactive doer who has a proven track record of growing YouTube channels through search. They are someone who can quickly gain a deep understanding of our products, features, and buyer personas and leverage this understanding to optimize or find new ways to increase our visibility through strategic storytelling on YouTube. They are deeply analytical and use data-driven insights to test theories and improve results. This person is also a pro at working collaboratively and asynchronously,  communicating, and managing projects.

 

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • identify new videos to be produced for several key YouTube channels based on search demand, competitive analysis, and alignment with our key persona(s)
  • support the media team with managing a monthly editorial calendar and brief system for new video recommendations 
  • identify potential influencers/creators for YouTube partnerships based on their reach, audience, and ability to drive demand for HubSpot
  • develop and nurture strategic relationships with the teams who create and do CRO for our video content to increase business impact; you will be seen as a key YouTube SEO advisor 
  • perform ongoing analysis and compile findings, recommendations, and insights into a report to stakeholders (for YouTube and the Creators program)

  • [required] understand SEO’s role in increasing visibility for a YouTube channel
  • have experience starting and/or growing a YouTube channel through search and driving leads from a YouTube channel is a plus
  • can identify good-fit video influencers and Creators for our Partnerships team to reach out to; can analyze existing partnerships and make recommendations on which to further invest in versus deprioritize.
  • are excellent writers and communicators. You’re effective at communicating data-driven ideas to a creative team. 
  • have experience with planning strategic initiatives and project managing implementation. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives is a plus. 
  • have strong relationship-building and nurturing skills.
  • are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of finding creative solutions. You’re curious by nature and thrive on experimenting with new ideas. 
  • love data; possess the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable steps, use it to communicate the performance of your initiatives as well as pitch new areas of opportunity to explore. 
  • enjoy a balance of independent and collaborative work.
  • have a passion for diversity, inclusion, and belonging. You’re an ally to underrepresented communities, seek to understand experiences different from your own, and lead with empathy.

Cash compensation range: 70000-105000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
