Spring 2025 Point72 Academy Case Competition—New York City
The Point72 Academy Case Competition is your chance to showcase your investing skills by presenting a stock pitch to Point72.

You will research a case and assemble your unique view. Finalists will be paired with a Point72 mentor and given the opportunity to present your pitch to Point72 investment professionals in our New York City office. Prizes include scholarships and accelerated interview process for future opportunities. 

Prep your pitch: You will conduct research, build a model, and submit your analysis as a presentation on a company provided to you by Point72. Point72 will review these pitches and select finalists.

Refine with a Mentor: We’ll pair each finalist with a Point72 mentor, who will help you refine your pitch for your final presentation to the Point72 team.

Present your case: As a finalist you’ll earn a trip to NYC where you’ll rise to the challenge of presenting your case to members of our investment professional community. You’ll also network with your peers and representatives from our recruiting, Academy, and investing teams.

How to Participate in the Point72 Academy Case Competition—New York City

Register

• You must attend a U.S. university
• You must be considered a third-year student, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026
• The deadline for registration is March 10^th, 2025

Submit

• On March 11^th you will receive submission instructions for your case study entry
• You must submit your presentation following the submission instructions by March 20^th

In-Person Finals

• Finalists will receive notification by April 1^st
• We will pair finalists with a mentor from Point72, who will provide expertise and assistance as students refine and improve their final presentations.
• Final presentations must be submitted by April 8^th
• Finalists will take part in sessions hosted in New York City on April 10^th and April 11^th
• Point72 will cover all travel and accommodation costs within reason

Competition Rules and Important Considerations for Applicants

• Undergraduate students graduating from December 2025 – July 2026 from a nationally accredited university in the United States are eligible. Students graduating in any other years are not eligible.
• If the registration instructions outlined above are not followed, you may be disqualified.
• The case assignment and detailed guidelines will be released on March 11^th from AcademyRecruiting@point72.com.
• Finalists will be paired with a Point72 mentor for feedback on their pitch prior to final presentation submission. Point72 mentors will be available for a 60-minute call to discuss the pitch.
• Availability on April 10^th and 11^th is required to apply to this competition. Point72 will cover domestic travel and accommodation expenses within reason.
  • Please note, you may still apply if you are enrolled at a US university but are currently studying abroad outside of the US. You would be expected to be available to present during ET hours on April 11^th via video conference.
