Get to Know our Team: 

The IT Infrastructure team operates all networks, servers, and storage platforms used to deliver services to Agoda’s customers. We support every product within the company, working with a wide range of systems and technology stacks. As part of the IT Infrastructure team, you’ll be working with over 25,000 server instances, one of the largest OpenStack private clouds in Asia, sophisticated Kubernetes-based compute engines, and a data platform capable of transporting and ingesting millions of data messages per second. Each of these opportunities - coupled with an open work environment - are a great way to gain experience on a modern and dynamic platform, constantly evolving to adapt to changes in the business landscape.

The Opportunity:

Join our dynamic infrastructure team in Bangkok as a Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in building scalable services to manage our cutting-edge infrastructure. This is an exciting chance to leverage your expertise in infrastructure system development and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and system management APIs to drive impactful solutions on a scale.

In this Role, you'll get to: 

  • Design and develop automation toolsets to improve efficiency in Agoda’s IT infrastructure (e.g., bare metal deployment, software installation/patching, monitoring, remediation).
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Grafana dashboards—including configuring data sources, writing queries, troubleshooting performance, and supporting team members in data visualization and interpretation.
  • Manage incidents, daily operational tasks, and performance tuning/troubleshooting in production and development environments, including occasional after-hours support.
  • Lead and deliver end-to-end implementation projects, collaborating across multiple teams and departments.
  • Coordinate datacenter operations with remote DCOE staff (e.g., server/rack provisioning, replacements, power and temperature management).
  • Provide expert advice and mentorship to infrastructure team members and software developers.

 

What you'll Need to Succeed:

  • Minimum 5 years of IT operations experience in large, complex environments
  • Proficiency in Python and Go for scripting and automation
  • Expertise in Grafana dashboard development and query languages (e.g., PromQL, SQL, Elasticsearch)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to break down and resolve complex issues
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenStack operations and APIs

It’s Great If You Have:

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (especially GitLab) and a DevOps background
  • Familiarity with networking architecture in complex e-commerce environments
  • High sense of ownership and proactive problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent English communication skills and a collaborative, adaptable mindset
