Your Impact
Axon’s Real Time Operations (RTO) team is redefining how public safety and enterprise security teams respond to critical incidents—in real time. At the heart of this transformation is Fusus, our mission-critical platform that unifies video, sensors, and dispatch data into a single live operating picture.

As Principal Product Manager for Real Time Operations, you will lead the AI product strategy that powers this platform. You will shape how law enforcement agencies, hospitals, schools, and enterprises use real-time intelligence to make faster, smarter, and safer decisions. This role sits at the intersection of advanced machine learning, operational insight, and real-world impact.

You will work closely with the RTO leadership team and collaborate deeply with Axon's centralized research science team—ensuring our AI investments are tightly aligned with the field needs of public safety and enterprise users.

With real-time intelligence now essential to public safety and enterprise operations, your product leadership will help ensure Fusus delivers on this urgent mission.

What You’ll Do

Location: Seattle WA, Atlanta GA, Boston MA, or Scottsdale AZ

  • Define and drive the AI product roadmap across Axon’s Real-Time Operations portfolio, with a core focus on Fusus.
  • Lead product development for technologies such as video object classification, re-identification of persons/vehicles of interest, NLP for audio data, and real-time incident analysis.
  • Translate real-world operational pain points into actionable product strategies and AI-powered features.
  • Partner closely with AI engineering, central research science, product management, field deployment, and customer success teams.
  • Engage with enterprise and public safety customers to validate needs, iterate on solutions, and ensure product-market fit.
  • Prioritize initiatives and guide execution based on customer value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Contribute to cross-team collaboration and operational efficiency by promoting a cohesive AI product vision.

What Success Looks Like

To thrive in this role, you will need to combine technical fluency, product intuition, and a deep sense of ownership for customer outcomes. You won’t just ship features—you’ll own an experience that helps our customers protect communities with confidence.

  • A clearly prioritized AI roadmap aligned with Fusus platform goals and validated by customer feedback.
  • Strong partnerships with Axon’s central research science team and AI engineering groups.
  • Measurable improvements to customer outcomes such as incident response time, detection accuracy, or operator workload.
  • Timely delivery of product requirement documents and concept briefs that drive the development of scalable AI features.
  • Recognition from internal stakeholders and customers for enabling impactful AI-driven product innovation.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in software or AI product development, with at least 5 years focused on AI initiatives.
  • A strategic product thinker who connects technical capabilities to real-world problems.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous, high-stakes environments with a clear execution focus.
  • A system-level thinker who understands the interplay between data, technology, and user workflows.
  • Detail-oriented with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
