QUALITY ASSURANCE

What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

The Online Core Platform team is looking for a Senior QA Analyst, who will be a multi-threaded Quality owner for projects, features, and existing functionality across different teams and products. The QA Analyst creates and executes test plans to validate the quality of projects; coordinates with engineers to determine various aspects that need testing; manages the testing process and shares results with project stakeholders. This role is with the Identity team, which owns a significant quantity of services widely utilized by other teams/stakeholders and is a critical path for accounts within the company.

In this role, you will

  • Participate in requirements analysis and design for new projects to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, establish testing approach, and coverage for upcoming features/releases
  • Proactively identify and drive resolutions of issues that need improvement, lowering release risks through targeted issue communication
  • Collaborate with developers, business units, and other QA team members to ensure compliance, testing efficiently, and effectively covers all possible test scenarios
  • Understand, factor, and recommend functional, qualitative, and performance testing improvement opportunities
  • Establish and enforce good examples of testing standards, and collaborate with other QAs to standardize and organize testing processes
  • Identify problems, analyze root causes, manage issue tracking, and work with development engineers to resolve issues
  • Conduct a mix of manual and automated testing for different products and platforms

What we're looking for

  • Experience in testing across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience with BrowserStack or similar browser testing tools
  • Proficient in software testing theory, with a deep understanding of quality assurance methods, tools, and best practices
  • Strong logical analysis skills, and ability to quickly identify and solve problems
  • Ability to write efficient test cases based on complex systems and functionalities
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automation testing, and proficiency in writing test scripts in one or more programming languages
  • Proven expertise in creating end-to-end test plans of a feature, identifying gaps in test coverage, and root cause analysis
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as in a team environment

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

$93,887$137,700 USD
