Group Product Manager, Cloud Spanner

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• Experience developing or launching products or technologies within databases, analytics, big data, or a related area.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Cloud Observability.
• Experience managing products from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing business strategy and execution.
• Ability to work with executives, product leaders, and executive engineering leaders.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

In this role, you will enable businesses to deliver scalable, secure, performant, and reliable solutions without needing to handle any of the heavy-lifting associated with managing large-scale distributed databases. You will provide leadership for most innovative database systems.

• Build a clear understanding of database technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to help shape the overall product strategy. 
• Interact with customers and partners for understanding the key requirements and help define a credible product roadmap.
• Drive product development collaborating closely with engineering, user-experience design, finance, product operations, marketing, and field teams.     
• Drive positioning, pricing, and go to market strategy for our launches.
