Amazonβs Global Trade Services (GTS) organization plays a critical role in the movement of goods, software and technology across borders. The GTS Product team has the exciting mission to innovate and deliver data and technology solutions which support and automate program operations and unlock new business. We work with a world-wide team of compliance professionals, operations teams, software developers and regional business partners to enable continuity and growth in a dynamic import/export environment.
The Senior Product Manager (Sr. PM) will be at the forefront of defining requirements and building features and/or net-new solutions to enable cross-border trade, improving efficiency, and solving for complex international challenges while still maintaining high quality standards. This person is comfortable with technical details and can participate in systems-related discussions. They have extensive experience deep-diving customer problems, defining a vision, managing an end-to-end product lifecycle, creating comprehensive roadmaps with clear milestones, and a proven track record of driving accountability across multiple partners. They are skilled at process improvement solutions and innovating in this space.
The successful candidate is a strong thought leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and partner effectively. This individual should be comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment to deliver sustainable, quality products and services in a high-growth environment where priorities shift rapidly. Influencing and team-building skills are essential for the success of this position. This person must be a customer-focused individual, adept at asking questions to identify a problem statement and get to the root cause. This position requires strong self-motivation and project management skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive scalable technical product solutions which ensure compliance with consumer product regulations
- Work cross-functionally to understand all upstream and downstream impact of solutions implemented
- Build roadmap, define features, contribute to system design discussions, and execute based on program needs
- Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders
- Partner with leadership, legal and other cross-functional teams to ensure product strategy aligns with program strategy

The GTS Global Export team is dedicated to creating efficient processes that meet demanding cross border regulations, while minimizing impact to the business.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience in delivering end-to-end customer research studies, including study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and survey execution), analysis, recommendations, reporting and presentation of results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
