As a Senior Marketing Manager within our Retail team, you will lead the development and execution of regional lead generation strategies across both online and offline marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing in North America, you will own the design, planning, and execution of quarterly and yearly marketing roadmaps, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Growth, Partner Marketing, Events, PR, and Content, to drive demand for Lightspeed Retail in North America while strengthening our brand presence in the region. Additionally, you’ll support the Outbound Sales team by acquiring high-quality leads and enabling targeted selling into specific verticals and regions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B marketing within the tech or SaaS industry, be highly independent and autonomous, and possess excellent organizational and execution skills.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Campaign Development & Execution: Design, implement, and manage integrated B2B marketing campaigns targeting SMB and mid-market retail businesses, focusing on lead generation, pipeline acceleration, and customer acquisition.
  • Market Penetration Strategies: Develop and execute market penetration strategies to expand Lightspeed’s reach and influence within the Retail industry in your market.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop quarterly and annual marketing plans that align with sales goals, regional priorities, and company objectives. Own the roadmap and deliver programs on time and within budget.
  • Events Marketing: Collaborate with the Events Marketing Team to identify, evaluate, and oversee the trade shows and events strategy for Retail. Plan and execute digital and physical events when needed to engage target audiences and drive pipeline.
  • Partner Co-Branding Initiatives: Ideate and execute co-branded campaigns with regional Lightspeed partners, including co-exhibiting at events, sponsoring trade shows, organizing product roadshows, webinars, content and backlinking strategies, joint social media campaigns, and networking events.
  • Channel Strategy: Optimize channel mix, including paid media, content syndication, email, ABM, and events, to effectively reach target audiences and drive conversions.
  • Digital Brand Awareness: Work closely with the Growth Marketing team to implement digital brand awareness campaigns. Measure their ROI and ensure alignment with broader marketing goals.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Outbound teams to align marketing campaigns with lead goals and enable selling into priority verticals and regions. Support Sales with targeted assets and messaging to drive pipeline progression.
  • Content & Positioning: Create compelling messaging and value propositions that position Lightspeed as the leading Retail POS provider. Highlight key differentiators like inventory management, advanced analytics, and scalability.
  • Industry Brand Presence: Build a strong and differentiated brand identity by securing placements in key industry and trade publications.
  • Corporate Communications & PR: Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team and local PR agency to push relevant bylines to media outlets, suggest PR initiatives, and identify customer stories to amplify company PR efforts.
  • Performance & Reporting: Analyze campaign performance, measure ROI, and share actionable insights to improve effectiveness. Maintain KPIs for leads, SQLs, opportunities, and revenue contribution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Marketing, Growth, Events, PR, and Content teams to ensure cohesive strategies, positioning, and execution.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years in B2B marketing with a focus on lead generation, demand generation, and pipeline growth in the tech/SaaS industry. Experience in retail tech or POS software is a strong plus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to create and execute go-to-market plans, partner strategies, and multi-channel campaigns tailored for specific industries or regions.
  • Events Expertise: Hands-on experience executing digital and physical events to generate pipeline, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
  • Partnership Marketing: Strong understanding of co-marketing opportunities, including partner enablement strategies, co-branding, and joint campaigns.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in tracking KPIs, ROI measurement, and using tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo to derive actionable insights.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messages for multiple stakeholders and platforms.
  • Independence: Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines autonomously.
  • Collaboration: Excellent cross-functional skills, with the ability to work closely with Sales, Growth, Events, Product Marketing, PR, and Communications teams.

Even better if you have:
