Guideline is hiring for a Product Marketing Manager to help differentiate our employer-facing product suite and enhance our market position in the 401(k) and workplace benefits space. You'll be a part of a team of passionate product marketers and report to the Head of Product Marketing.
We’re looking for a data-minded marketer who has experience developing effective product messaging and strategic initiatives that drive adoption of complex products. You’ll be working with our sales, product, and growth teams to develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies that cement our right to win with employers of all sizes and industries. You'll serve as the champion of the customers we serve: solopreneurs, small business owners, and HR/benefits leaders at SMBs and enterprises.
As an experienced product marketer, you’ll be tasked with end-to-end strategic planning and execution for employer-facing product experiences, working closely with product to launch new features while enabling sales to effectively pitch the Guideline retirement product experience to employers. Driven by research and analytics, you’ll ensure that we understand our customers and prospects and that we are effectively delivering value throughout the funnel.
What You’ll Do
As a PMM, you're at the heart of it all. In a collaborative role, you'll work across the organization to drive impactful results. On any given day, you'll help us:
- Shape our core 401(k) product message: Define strategic initiatives and product / feature launch priorities to evolve our market position in the 401(k) and workplace benefits ecosystem
- Champion the voice of the customer: Dig into data and conduct research to understand and effectively advocate for our employer customers and prospects across SMB and enterprise verticals.
- Test and learn to drive growth: Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales to test new and existing messaging, ensuring that we continually strengthen our employer value proposition.
- Evolve our sales pitch: Partner closely with sales leadership to support sales enablement, competitive analysis, sharpening our pitch and developing collateral to drive sales efficacy.
- Track the industry: Track industry trends, competitive best practices, and evolutions in the workplace benefits ecosystem to help us take advantage of emerging market trends.
- Partner with legal and compliance: Ensure all messaging is accurate, compliant, and upholds regulatory standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Marketing expertise: 5+ years of experience in marketing at a B2B2C or B2B product-led growth organization, with 3+ years in product marketing. Experience in fintech, HR tech, payroll, or highly-regulated industries is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills: You’re comfortable collaborating with partners and stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, and beyond.
- Strong writing skills: You’re an effective storyteller, translating data and insights into compelling messaging and well-crafted collateral that resonates with our employer audience.
- A keen eye for detail: Nothing slips past you – you’re always keeping yourself and your partners on track, organized, and accountable as you lead critical cross-functional efforts.
- Cross-functional leadership: You excel at driving multi-channel go-to-market strategy in partnership with peers and leaders of all levels across an organization
- Data proficiency: Experience with tools like Looker, Amplitude, and customer research / insights platforms that inform decisions and measure success.
