Team/ Role Paragraph: 

Product Finance FP&A is a key function to support the revenue-generating product groups at Coinbase. The team provides forecasting and variance analysis for all revenue and expense lines for the product groups, support with ad-hoc analysis to inform business decisions, conduct deep dives into important focus areas for the financial health of the business. Additionally, the team works on the evaluation of new business opportunities and resource allocation, in partnership with many cross-functional teams including Business Operations, Data, Accounting, Treasury, Investor Relations and HR to identify risks and opportunities and explain performance.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): 

  • Drive monthly budgeting, variance analysis and forecasting support to multiple stakeholders.
  • Lead budget reviews with stakeholders to create shared understanding of revenue and OpEx trends.
  • Support month end close processes and quarter earnings call preparation.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Business Partners to forecast headcount needs and optimal resource allocation.
  • Conduct deep dives into particular expense or revenue lines to understand their drivers and potential levers to enhance financial performance.

  • Detail oriented. Ability to dive into the details, then step back and assess the bigger picture. 
  • Technical. Strong financial acumen with financial or quantitative modeling experience.
  • Excellent communications. Ability to distill complex ideas into actionable insights. Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Previous experience: Ideally 1-4 years experience in FP&A/strategic finance roles or similar fast-paced finance environment (investment banking, asset management, etc.)
  • Enthusiasm for crypto: Interest in the Crypto economy, Coinbase’s products and a commitment to ongoing learning.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience using Anaplan and/or Netsuite
  • Data visualization (superset or equivalent)
  • Coding experience (SQL or Python)
  • Financial / quantitative modeling experience
Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
Pay Range:
$108,630$127,800 USD
