Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management on cross-functional software development projects.
  • Experience with business intelligence platform, PowerBI, Data Studio or other data presentation applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in data center capacity planning.
  • Experience presenting to executives with effective written and verbal communications skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple, engaging priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data (including SQL) and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom.
  • Excellent sense of accountability and ownership for an end-to-end project life-cycle.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you will be scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating on status, risks and process/product changes.

In this role, you will work closely with demand planning, finance, networking, and software development teams to deliver high quality and robust capacity planning processes, with favorable business outcomes.

  • Develop, document and execute processes to support Data Center power capacity management on a global basis.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop regional power capacity health plans to manage regional power constraints and drive action plans to bring constrained regions back to health.
  • Create models to plan future capacity needs and evaluate capacity risks and actions to be remediate capacity constraints.
  • Manage multiple interdependent projects of high complexity and scope. Use technical acumen to drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus.
  • Support operations and analytic projects related to the allocation of compute and storage resources to meet internal and external customer requirements.
