Senior Manager, Engineering

Job summary

We are looking for a driven, experienced Engineering Senior Manager to lead, manage and grow our high performing team that is responsible for our flagship public trust service. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the technical direction, strategic planning, and execution of key projects while fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture. This role also entails working closely with senior leadership, product management, and other stakeholders.

What you will do

• Leading the technical planning and strategy for a large-scale system, for all layers of the technology stack
• Assuming accountability for the efficient delivery of new features and functionality with security, compliance, uptime, and quality in mind
• Managing and growing a highly capable Engineering team

What you will have

• BS degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in industry
• Minimum of 8 years of experience implementing, leading and operating high scale, high performance, high uptime, cloud-based services
• Demonstrated experience with leading teams and large-scale projects
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience with agile methodologies
• Extensive experience with PHP, javascript, and REST APIs

Nice to have

• Minimum 8 years of PHP experience and expertise
• Minimum 6 years of PKI experience and expertise
• Ability to adapt to change and managing teams through change
• Experience and knowledge of industry compliance rules, PII, and regional regulations
• Proven ability to work efficiently with multiple teams that are not all located in one campus
• Deep understanding of product security and quality considerations
• Experience with availability zones and distributed systems
• Scrum master certification
