We are searching for a Quality Technician to join our team. This person will be responsible for repairing dealer/customer returns in a prompt and efficient manner while maintaining the high-quality standards of the Fender brands throughout the repair process.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, components, and finished guitars to ensure compliance with quality standards and ensure all guitars meet regulatory and company-specific quality standards
  • Perform detailed measurements and tests (e.g., cosmetic issues, fret alignment, neck relief) using precision instruments and quality criteria.
  • Identify and document defects, deviations, and inconsistencies during production.
  • Perform regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality protocols and maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audit findings
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety and quality standards on the production floor.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on quality metrics, trends, and non-conformance issues.
  • Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality manuals.
  • Investigate root causes of defects and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement quality improvements.
  • Monitor and track defect resolutions to ensure long-term solutions are effective.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and proper inspection techniques.
  • Serve as a resource for quality-related questions and provide technical support to various departments
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with Fender products and quality standards
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, SAP)
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to adhere to safety procedures, rules, and regulations at all times, and to wear personal protective equipment while on the factory floor, including, without limitation: safety glasses.
