The Team

We are the eCommerce business unit and our goal is to enable merchants to grow their businesses. As Lightspeed grows, we are bringing and integrating the Lightspeed ecosystem including payments, shipping, and other services to help our merchants build the most unique experience for their customers.

The Job

As a QA Specialist in Lightspeed eCom you will have a central role in the team where you will work closely with Product Managers and Developers to ensure software quality through continuous involvement in the software development process. 

You will play a key role reinforcing the quality standards in the organization. You will have a chance to work with some of the smartest people in the company, making an impact on the fastest growing part within Lightspeed.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Be an advocate for quality throughout the development process from planning to production
  • Take ownership of managing the regression test suite
  • Running and understanding failures in automation tests (using our internal analyzer programs)
  • Aligning product quality with customer needs in collaboration with the PM
  • Cooperating with fellow QA engineers to maintain quality standards
  • Collaborating with the direct team to guarantee product quality.

What you need to bring to the team:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent creative, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Experience writing clear and reproducible defect reports

Nice to have:

  • Develop, maintain and execute manual test cases during the development stages
  • Commercial experience with creating and executing acceptance, functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Experience with performance testing
  • Solid understanding of agile testing practices
  • Knowledge of database queries (e.g., SQL, noSQL)
  • Familiarity with Tools like Jira, Testrail & Postman
  • Knowledge of test automation
  • ISTQB or some other QA certification
  • Knowledge of Russian language is a plus
