The AWS World Wide Public Sector NatSec & Defense (NSD) Builders Team is looking for a Data or Software Engineer to support our public sector business. The NSD Builders support internal teams that focus on internal operations, contract management, and business development. We build a broad spectrum of data products ranging from interactive dashboards, to externally facing customer deliverables, to cross-domain data distribution systems. Our emphasis is on building automated, scalable capabilities that accelerate operations and drive business growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for building end-to-end, cloud-based data pipelines and reporting capabilities. You will directly interact with multiple stakeholders, driving efficiency in daily operations while enabling data-driven decision-making. Your work will not only enhance how our business runs on a day-to-day basis but also support business development and long-term growth by optimizing data accessibility, automation, and scalability.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience building automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Azure Data Factory, or Apache Airflow.
- Proficiency in event-driven architectures with AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Step Functions.
- Skilled in automating infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong background in logging, monitoring, and alerting via CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or ELK Stack.
- Expertise in database automation, including schema creation and query execution in Python/SQL.
- Experience with messaging systems like SNS, SQS, or Event Grid.
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
