Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud architecture in a partner-facing or support role.
  • 3 years of experience leading teams in a technical partner-facing role within professional services or Sales Engineering, as a manager or manager of managers.
  • Experience in cybersecurity matters (e.g. threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, Identity and Access Management systems).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with software lifecycles, building tools, and architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems, including data platform, AI/ML and infrastructure.
  • Experience managing a team through sales processes, operations and career development, including account mapping, quota setting, performance management, and managing sensitive information.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders, tailoring/delivering compelling messages by audience, asking strategic questions, and leading conversations that drive business opportunity.
  • Experience building strategic business partnerships.

As a Partner Engineering Manager, you lead partner engineering teams and deploy a team of subject matter experts responsible for working alongside our partners and customers to provide trusted technical and solution advice to accelerate workload migration and remove technical impediments.

  • Lead a team of high performing Partner Engineers and extended teams, focusing on team culture, talent strategy, and skills development to deliver successful cloud transformation outcomes for customers and accelerate business goals.
  • Support Partner Engineers to enable system integrator (SI) and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) partner technical teams skills, capabilities, and capacity through prototyping and product integrations and guiding customers through assessments.
  • Partner with business leadership to define the technical go-to-market strategy and execution plan for the team's territories and drive technical wins of SI/ISV partners aligned to customer opportunities. Through planning stages, determine alignment, coverage and staffing needs across opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally across Google, partners, and your team to resolve technical roadblocks including capacity needs and constraints and product problems affecting customer satisfaction.
