This is a hybrid role location in Dublin, Ireland. 

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits Teams and cross-functionally on a variety of projects involving market research, program design, analysis, budgeting, program implementation, operational improvement, and communication.
  • Collaborate with local and global People & Places team staff to develop benefit and compensation programs that support Toast’s total rewards philosophy and culture; include differences to meet local market norms and regulatory requirements.  
  • Serve as the liaison between local People & Places team staff and our benefit and compensations centers of excellence to determine how local benefit and compensations programs will be administered and managed going forward (locally or globally).
  • Evaluate competitive practices and positioning relative to the market and make recommendations to ensure our benefit and compensation plans are attractive and support Toast’s talent strategy and Employee Value Proposition.
  • Partner with the international expansion team to research and establish benefit and compensation practices in new regions as Toast expands its international footprint.
  • Develop and manage sources of market information, including surveys, professional associations, and networking opportunities. Stay abreast of trends and identify opportunities for program changes.
  • Identify and manage working relationships with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants, ensuring quality delivery.
  • Provide support to managers and HR business partners on benefit and compensation matters.  In response to business needs, provide guidance on Toast’s programs, perform analyses and research, and help develop solutions.
  • Ensure employees understand our benefits and compensation programs and how those programs contribute to Toast’s employee value proposition. Work cross-functionally to ensure employees have access to information about their benefits and compensation programs.  
  • Collaborate with local People & Places team staff, HR Systems, Payroll, and the People Operations teams to ensure benefit plan administration is managed appropriately and at scale, including updates and new implementations for benefit plan changes that require changes to our Workday or other benefits application systems and payroll deductions.
  • Provides advice on job leveling and classification analysis, serving as a trusted resource for internal customers.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Manage compensation data organization, maintenance, and use, including oversight for market data aggregation applications.  Collaborate to ensure compensation data interfaces and cross-system processes operate effectively.
  • Work with local People team staff, the Benefits and Compensation Team, and Legal to ensure compliance with all benefit and compensation regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in special projects, which may include due diligence and integration support for acquisitions involving countries outside the US.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure all benefits and compensation programs operate in alignment with Toast’s culture and business strategy.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a focus in HR, Business Administration, or Finance preferred.
  • 7+ years of directly related experience supporting benefits and compensation program development and maintenance for the EMEA and/or Canada region. 
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data using a variety of systems and applications. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within teams.

Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)

  • CCP, GRP, CSCP certification a plus.
  • Experience working with Ireland, UK, and Canada benefit design, a plus
  • Experience in communicating programs to employees, a plus
  • Experience working in a technology or high-growth industry, a plus.
  • Experience with Workday
  • Experience working in an HR shared services model, a plus.  
  • Experience using Radford surveys and MarketPay, a plus.
