About the team
The Remediation Experience team’s mission is to make it fast and easy for Stripe users to stay enabled, while maintaining our high standards of regulatory compliance. The global regulatory landscape is changing rapidly, and our team has to adapt quickly to ensure Stripe’s users can stay compliant without interruption to their business.
What you’ll do
Engineering Managers at Stripe are responsible for the success of their team. You’ll be deeply involved in the engineering and design processes as well as coaching, mentoring, and leading the team. You’ll have a deep understanding of how to drive efficient engineering teams and you’ll have a strong user-focus. You’ll be working with engineers on creating technical solutions and communicating effectively across teams and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Leading engineering and design processes, coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team as they build innovative solutions.
- Owning problems from end-to-end by managing diverse systems, processes, and technologies, while continuously seeking opportunities to optimize efficiency and user experience.
- Work with Product Managers to shape both the product roadmap and a high quality Product Experience.
- Drive key verification metrics that are critical to ensuring users can successfully onboard, and stay enabled as they run and grow their businesses on Stripe.
- Recruiting top engineering talent in partnership with Stripe’s recruiting team to build a diverse and high-performing team.
- Supporting your team members' career growth by providing insights and development opportunities tailored to their goals.

Minimum requirements
- 8-10 years of overall experience with 5+ years experience in leadership role with people management responsibilities as well
- Put themselves in the shoes of your users and be a steward of crafting great experiences
- Thrived in a highly collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Taken pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems
- Enjoyed working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
- Upholds best practices in engineering, security, and design
Preferred qualifications
- Have built and managed critical systems working with cross functional teams globally
- Any experience in Risk and compliance domain is a plus
- Have built and grown teams comprising of high talent individuals; Great people manager with proven track track record to build self driven and highly efficient teams
