Description

- Leadership and management of a team of talented system software engineers in a fast-paced and demanding software development environment - Ownership of silicon platform and products throughout the lifecycle from pre-silicon to mass production - Working closely with the hardware and silicon teams to bring-up new silicon, platforms, products, and prototype systems - Defining the system software roadmap to support a range of hardware platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Macs, AppleWatch, and AppleTV. - Strong communication skills to communicate status and progress clearly to upper management and cross-functional partners - Lead the team’s assistance in requirements for future hardware and custom silicon - Strengthening the team by hiring and retaining top engineering talent

Minimum Qualifications

Experience managing a low - level system software development team. Strong technical leadership and ability to inspire team members
Direct experience in boot loader development, device driver development, kernel, and firmware software technologies.
Understanding of SoC level design
Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Genuine passion for system engineering, hardware/software integration, and obsession over delightful customer experience with products
Excellent collaborative skills including written and verbal communication
Knowledge of embedded hardware and SoC architecture
Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals
Experience with ARM based SoC's

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
