SDET II - Python (CAT)

Role Purpose: 

At Jumio, you will work for one of the market leaders in the global identity verification space that is helping to make the digital world a safer place for everyone. As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Connected Analytics Team, you will develop the backbone of our identity-centric trust platform.

Role Value: 

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET II), you will be involved in the design of features and product components. You’ll devise and implement the testing strategy ensuring delivered features and components fit the intent and meet the excellence criteria of our products. You'll work with complex systems combining vector search, graph engineering and machine learning. We welcome you to challenge us to impact our software development testing.

Example Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a testing strategy for a feature in design
• Contribute to the automated testing repos
• Carry out performance testing to ensure scalability and cost effectiveness
• Collaborate in a cross-functional, distributed team for continuous system improvement
• Work with Product Managers, Software Development Engineers, ML Engineers and DevOps Engineers
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools
• Contribute to engineering excellence

Experience and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering in test  with Python (optionally, Java)
• Strong experience with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright
• Expertise in PyTest
• Proven experience testing in a cloud environment (preferably, AWS)
• Deep understanding of test case design and execution, including for ML systems
• Proficiency in CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and version control
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API testing
• Systematic bug tracking and test management
• Excellent analytical, conceptual and communication skills in spoken and written English

Great to have Experience and Qualifications: 

• Experience with any of the following: AI-assisted test generation, ML-based anomaly detection for monitoring
• Experience with testing ML systems
