As a Market Data Operations Analyst - you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our Market Data Management applications across multiple AWS regions. This role combines the technical aspects of operational support with the analytical expertise of a Market Data Analyst, ensuring the smooth daily operations of market data processes and applications.

Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring batch processes, market data feeds, and data pipelines to ensure the seamless flow of accurate and timely market data. You will analyze and validate financial data critical for decision-making, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure data consistency across all systems. By addressing client and internal queries promptly, you will help maintain trust and reliability in our SaaS offerings.

What You'll Do:

  • Define, implement, and execute standard operating procedures to achieve Market Data operations on behalf of Numerix SaaS clients.
  • Perform daily monitoring activities and verification of market data deliveries.
  • Perform daily monitoring checks on the success/failure of daily runs, batch processes and market data feeds.
  • Perform periodic intra-day checks of the health of pre-prod and production applications, ancillary systems, processes, data feeds, to ensure operational integrity and fulfillment of SLAs.
  • Respond to daily requests for operational support activities including market data queries, status of runs and updates on existing issues raised by both clients and internal groups where data is the source of the issue
  • Respond to request for technical support, application issues, feed issues; triage and resolve issues, manage the escalation to value streams.
  • In the capacity of Incident Manager and in accordance with Numerix Incident management policy, manage incidents discovered through automated systems alerts, or reported by clients
  • Engage with data vendors daily with regards the availability of new and existing market data elements.
  • Analysis of data quality to review for spikes/tolerance breaches; triage and resolve while communicating with clients/vendors internal teams.
  • Manage the release of NxDM updates in pre-production with the coordination with development for verification of improvements/new features and parallel runs.
  • Lead and coordinate, with clients, the release of NxDM updates and patch releases in production environments.
  • Produce internal reports with statistics to measure service via service reviews and management reporting (including incidents, cases etc.)

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the Financial Services industry consisting of at least 2 years’ experience in preferably a data operations role in front or middle office environments
  • Working knowledge of public and OTC Cash and Derivative products. Exposure to multiple Asset Classes (FI, Commodities, Credit, Equities and FX) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of reference data, market data, legal entity data. Familiarity with corporate actions is a plus.
  • A solid grasp of market and counterparty credit risk fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following systems (Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv, Calypso, Murex, Misys, RiskMetrics, Calypso, Algorithmics, Sungard) is a plus.
  • Familiarity Amazon Web Service Step Function, Simple Notification Service (SNS) etc.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages including Python and cloud-based hosting solutions (AWS preferred).
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in complex, fast-paced situations. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong attention to details and ability to take ownership of issues.

  • Thoroughness is critical as incidents will need to be addressed with critical priority, notification to other team members as well as documentation updates and providing detailed analysis to clients.


Where You’ll Work:

This is a hybrid role, open to all who reside within a commutable distance from Casablanca, Morocco.
