Software Engineer III, Android, Google Home

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• 2 years of experience Android application development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Internet-of-things or consumer electronics.
• Experience in iOS development.
• Experience in logging, SQL analysis, and dashboard.
• Experience in designing Application Programming Interface (API).
• Experience in full-stack development.

The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. • Support implementation of Matter smart home industry standards.
• Design and implement Google Home Platform Software Development Kit (SDK) for Android GMS Core.
• Learn and adapt to often changing requirements and technology needs.
• Collaborate with visual designers, product managers and other developers.
• Participate in regular design reviews.
