Technical Product Manager - Banking Core

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager who's passionate about financial technology, including innovation of new features and functionalities. You'll be joining the Core Banking team within our Unified Platforms solution. This team is responsible for building the underlying infrastructure of our payments product and other financial products, so that our core applications are stable and scalable. Whether we work with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations at all times.

As a Technical Product Manager Banking, you will be responsible for ensuring that our proprietary Banking Infrastructure is built right for the long term.. After obtaining an European banking license in 2017, Adyen built its own bank. Our banking infrastructure is one of the core components to process payments, and to offer banking products.

You will collaborate closely with our product- and development team to stabilize and enhance our proprietary Banking Infrastructure. A product Manager must therefore possess strong technical- and project management skills, and must be able to work as a stakeholder for a wider range of teams within the Platforms & Financial Services solution. 

What you’ll do

• You will gather business requirements and take responsibility for the technical scoping of new products.
• You will be challenged to help with designing and optimizing our Banking Infrastructure, to service our financial products with a sustainable and scalable architecture, which are subsequently offering their products to the biggest customer brands in the world;
• You will become a subject matter expert on our Banking Infrastructure, and use that expertise to help with the designing of technical solutions, the solving for technical challenges and help with the management of these implementations.
• You will work closely together with engineers and with multiple teams within Adyen to prioritize enhancements, and build the best infrastructure to service our customers;
• You will interact with multiple teams within Adyen on a regular basis to collect feedback and translate their needs into future requirements.

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, focussing on building technical solutions within a technical environment.
• You are analytically strong and not afraid to deep dive into unexplored topics to formulate vision, frame pragmatic solutions and work closely together with engineers to develop, adapt, and execute.
• You are hands-on, have strong project management skills in which you take full ownership and control over your projects and have the ability to manage priorities;
• You have solid communication skills to interact with stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures
• Your strong sense of initiative and self-motivation will add value to a fast-growing business.
