Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?
At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.
To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.
Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.
Join the International Payments team at Coinbase and help shape the future of payment integrations in countries worldwide.
The International team is known for its innovative and customer-centric approach. You will have the chance to fuel your passion for building world-class products that promote cryptocurrency adoption globally. By identifying and integrating with leading payment providers, you will directly influence crypto accessibility worldwide.
As the Engineering Manager for the team, you will partner with internal teams and external partners to expand Coinbase's portfolio of fiat onramps and offramps in strategic markets. This is a unique opportunity to be at the core of Coinbase's intensified focus on international market expansion. You will directly contribute to making Coinbase the leading cryptocurrency platform by setting industry standards for reliable and fast payments. You will oversee 7-8 engineers based in the APAC timezone, managing people and projects while directly contributing to the implementation of these payment rails. You will collaborate closely with International Product Managers and work with Payments Platform, Finhub, Risk, and Finance teams to build safe and trusted payment integrations.
Our teams use a mix of industry-standard technologies such as Golang, Python, and React, alongside our internal Payments Platform, to deliver solutions supporting billions of dollars in transaction volume. Our primary customers are retail Coinbase users outside the US, and our work ensures they can deposit and withdraw funds quickly and reliably.
