Title: Category Management Associate
Location: London Office Based EC1V 7LQ
Working Hours: 40 hours (Monday–Friday)

As a Category Management Associate at Wayfair, you’ll be at the centre of decision-making for a portfolio of UK-based suppliers, driving sales, improving profitability, and shaping customer experience through smart analysis and sharp commercial instincts. You'll negotiate terms, optimise assortment, and collaborate across functions to build the future of home retail across the UK and Germany.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a large portfolio of suppliers across the case goods category

  • Develop strategic plans to drive revenue and profitability for your suppliers and product verticals

  • Analyse category and event performance, and adapt strategies to meet evolving goals

  • Conduct market and product evaluations to identify trends and new business opportunities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and attractive promotions

  • Expand assortment by identifying selection gaps and sourcing new supplier partnerships

  • Partner closely with merchandising, operations, and marketing to execute cross-functional strategies

What You’ll Need

  • Some experience from an analytical or sales-based internship or role

  • A strong interest in developing a career in buying, category management, or supplier relations

  • A personable and energetic communicator, confident engaging with C-suite suppliers

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without losing focus on detail

  • Curiosity about retail math concepts and data-driven decision-making

  • Analytical mindset – you enjoy digging into data to find opportunities and answers

  • A self-starter attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and bias for action

  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel and a general confidence working with data sets
