Within CO+I, the Cloud Innovation Services & Solutions team is responsible for delivering solutions and services that enable reliable cloud growth and operational excellence, including end to end program management, security, risk and governance, planning, learning and development and sustainability.  The Cloud Environmental Social Governance team focuses on driving CO+I performance in alignment to the existing corporate-wide commitments, establishing preferred CO+I sustainability datacenter public policies and whitepapers and preparing for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements, and ensuring timely and accurate disclosure.   

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Enivronmental Social Governance - AMERICAS to support CO+I’s ESG efforts, more specifically the Cloud ESG Planning team for the Americas region. 

 

As part of this team, you will collaborate across a broad set of stakeholders, perform research, and communicate effectively on current, emerging and developing ESG policy issues that impact the Cloud Computing and Services industry. You will produce a range of enablers, managed by the Cloud ESG Planning team, such as policy positions, strategic impact analyses, an up-to-date global policy and trends outlook charter for your region as well as contributions to the team's global outlook.  You have a keen understanding of public policy, including the mechanics of legislative and administrative policymaking processes and procedures, effective lobbying techniques, and collaboration with other companies and trade groups. Candidates will be able to demonstrate their experience through work within government, companies, consultancies, trade associations, or equivalent organizations. 

 

You are excited about empowering CO+I with the necessary ESG insights to support fast and targeted decision-making for performance and impact, drive accountability across the organization and translate ESG requirements into a compete opportunity.  

You are adept at working in a multi-stakeholder, multi-background environment, building enduring trusted relationships and efficiently influencing with limited control.  

You work effectively with senior executives, focusing on crisp and actionable communication, you are fluent in English and bring a strategic perspective, supporting the team by innovating and showcasing the team’s key results.  

 

You have been successful working within a matrixed organizational structure where you lead through influence and teamwork. You are comfortable focusing on strategic work as well as consistently producing high quality tactical deliverables as needed. 

 

This position requires leadership, strategic impact analysis skills and overall project management skills. The Senior Cloud Enivronmental Social Governance - AMERICAS will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's ESG efforts and play a key role in supporting Microsoft’s ability to meet policymakers, customers, investors and industry ESG expectations. Success in this role means you have harnessed the value add of ESG, translated it into an actionable strategy and contributed to building a best-in-class ESG practice.

  • Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates are required to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.   
  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.
