As an Energy Procurement Manager, you will own and deliver energy supply and retail electricity contracts for Amazon data centers across Asia Pacific. The role require you to own the segment of delivering Energy compliant and cost-effective Colocation capacity for Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
Amazon is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS APJC Energy Team. In this role, you will make high impact decisions, negotiate and execute power supply contracts across AWS regions in Asia Pacific. The candidate will need to be able to identify key market conditions, regulations, and market structures to help evaluate potential savings opportunities. In this role, you will work closely with AWS’s colocation sites to manage energy terms contractually. The optimal candidate will have a result orientated approach, analytical skill set, and strong financial acumen.
A day in the life
- Own and deliver electricity supply and retail contracts for data center energy supply
- Analyze trends and regulations in the energy space to proactively identify opportunities that benefit Amazon
- Work collaboratively with Amazon infrastructure and capacity delivery team to support the cost-effective energy and Utility energy compliant colocation sites
- Work with the aim of maximizing renewable energy content in delivered energy through green tariff, physical PPAs or retailer backed renewable purchase
- Delivering energy cost savings program across AWS sites and its colocation sites

- 5+ years of experience in APAC energy markets, power contract negotiations, energy regulations, or energy generation technologies
- Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as retailers, utilities, regulators, consultants
- Proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, or customers
- Proven ability to evaluate new energy markets, utility tariffs, policies, power contracts, or evaluating new energy sourcing opportunities and technologies
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects with minimal direction
- Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills and attention to details
- Be a passionate self-starter
