Alexa Device Support organization is looking for a System Development Engineer to join our Automation Support team. In this role you will work hand-in-hand with Automation development teams, Quality Service teams and Feature teams to drive stability, consistency, and reliability of the product releases while never losing sight of the high quality bar. You’ll apply your large-scale understanding of computing solutions to write code and manage infratsructure.
You will own automation, scaling, and solving operations with software across our platforms. This will include identifying and resolving issues, automating and improving repetitive processes and streamline our lab infrastructure. You’ll drive prioritization of operational issues, and drive automation design & scaling requirements in support of the wider organization.You will get the opportunity to work closely with a great team of Automation developers who will help you grow
Key job responsibilities
Manage and maintain automation labs.
Conduct automated tests and compile result reports.
Keep accurate lab inventory records.
Establish test environments to support automation frameworks.
Detect, isolate, and document bugs
Perform regression testing and monitor issues through to resolution
Interpret and present testing outcomes
Serve as a strong advocate for maintaining high-quality standards
Engage with QA Engineers to comprehend: a) The broader technical architecture b) Specific implementation methods for automation features
Recommend and implement improvements to current automation processes

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes- Experience with distributed systems at scale
