Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with relational databases and building cloud database services.
  • Experience with availability and disaster recovery technologies

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical leadership.

As a Product Manager of Cloud SQL Availability and Disaster Recovery, you will be responsible for driving strategy and execution to deliver industry leading availability and disaster recovery capabilities that enable customers to run their workloads with minimal to no downtime. You will own the strategy and growth of a critical area.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Build a clear understanding of database technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to help shape the overall product strategy.
  • Be responsible for developing the product strategy to deliver a differentiated Cloud SQL availability and disaster recovery offering that is the best in the market.
  • Drive business growth by increasing adoption of high availability capabilities using a product led growth motion.
  • Collaborate with Google compute and storage teams to develop joint product strategy and execution plan to deliver industry leading availability.
  • Develop a pricing strategy that drives growth and is engaging with the market.
