Key Responsibilities
- Supporting activities of the Thermal Oxidizer group, responsible for providing design engineering, requisitioning, vendor drawing and calculation review, fabrication support, and inspection activities for various equipment required.
- The engineer will be assigned as a team member to multiple contracts at any given point in time. She/ he will be the internal technical contact for all matters related to Thermal Oxidizer and its internals / Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, etc.
- The engineer shall closely collaborate with the other team members from disciplines such as Process, Piping, Mechanical, CAD-design, Structural Engineering, and Project Management.
- The engineer should have experience with the design and detail engineering of pressure vessels / heat exchangers as per international codes such as ASME Section VIII Div.- 1 & 2, PD 5500, TEMA, API 650, API 660, API 661, API 663.
- Assist project execution and design team with in-depth review and resolution of technical issues.
- Provide high level review of equipment designs for technical accuracy, specification/standard compliance, and value engineering.
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal engineering/design standards, where needed.
- Attend and support customer meetings and site issues in a technical capacity, when required.
- Interface with Global Locations to share learnings/best practices for design issues.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering
- 8 or more years of applicable industry experience
- 5 years experience in static equipment design, specification and/or manufacture of Pressure Vessels per ASME Section VIII D1 or D2.
