Job Description

The Strategic Account Executive will report into the VP of Global Accounts. At a high level, core responsibilities will include landing, expanding and nurturing relationships with regional enterprises. There will be a strong focus on the energy sector and experience selling into this sector and a strong relationship network will be essential to your success. You’ll be responsible for increasing wallet share and driving revenue growth across Scale’s product areas and therefore any previous experience selling AI products, within the region, will be beneficial. You’ll need to run an effective GTM strategy and develop and execute individual account plans, working with Product, Operations, Legal, Deal Desk and other key supporting internal groups. Finally, you’ll be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and developing a deep understanding of our customer’s needs and challenges. In short, you will be expected to know their business as well as they do and clearly articulate how Scale will be able to add tremendous value to their AI goals and initiatives. 

You will:

  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, and expand our footprint within key customer accounts.
  • Run the full sales process from prospecting to contracting. You should therefore have experience scoping and pricing and writing complex contracts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Strategists, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and provide input into product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Stay up to date on regional Enterprises’ AI initiatives and their business, industry trends, competitors, and emerging customer needs to inform our product and business strategies. 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic selling, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and with a technical product. 
  • Have worked at or heavily with GCC-based Enterprises. 
  • Have deep knowledge of and strong relationships with key decision makers within the Energy sector.
  • A consulting background or demonstration of ability to provide consultative approach to uncovering use cases, showcasing value and winning over prospects where opportunities may or may not clearly exist is helpful.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and execute on them. 
  • Ability to run autonomously and show ownership of the entire sales cycle (e.g. Demonstrate strong prospecting skills, relationship development, scoping, proposal creation, contract negotiation and closing). 
  • A results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. 
  • Demonstration of a high degree of polish in written, visual and oral presentation. 
  • Demonstration of energetic, mission-driven mindset with a passion for progressing this industry forward.
