Description
We are looking for talented engineers across teams at Apple in Operations to support iPhone Final Assembly. Technical Program Managers have some of the following responsibilities, including: - Design for Manufacturability: Provides early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable. - Product Engineering: Works all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life. Provides production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures, and failure analysis. - Process Engineering: Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency. - Failure/Data Analysis: Plans, develops, and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon-to-be-released products. - Fixture design and development: Creates Request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFPs) that documents the design requirements of simple to complex mechanical jigs and fixtures for assembly. - Leads design reviews of fixture requirements, design, qualification, and capability. - Manages the delivery schedule, required documentation, and qualification for acceptance at machine supplier facility and contract manufacturer - Works with Global Supply Managers to define and establish supply chain requirements utilizing selected equipment and manufacturing suppliers. - Travels to equipment supplier and contract manufacturer sites for equipment bring-up, qualification, acceptance testing, and build support - Drives failure analysis and issue resolution.

  • 5+ years of full time mechanical manufacturing experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • 25% domestic and international travel required

  • Excellent project management skills (Planning, Cost, & Delivery), experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Direct experience leading any of the following functional engineering teams: Mechanical, Electrical, DFX, etc.
  • Experience working with international OEM partners.
  • New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience.
  • Have basic expertise in CNC Machining (including Milling and Turning), Injection and Overmolding, Surface Finishing, and Equipment Assembly.
  • Experience with fixture design with some familiarity of PLC programming.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 and $227,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
