About The Team

The Operation Team's mission is to drive efficient, high-quality operations that drive business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote a culture of continuous improvement, cost discipline, and quality while producing devices that enable Roku to be the comprehensive streaming platform that connects and benefits the entire TV ecosystem around the world. As a member of the Roku Operations Team at Roku, you will embody a blend of efficiency, collaboration, and customer focus, contributing to an agile, data-informed, and high performing Operations Team focused on market and margin growth in the competitive streaming industry.

 

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Indirect Procurement to lead and elevate our Indirect Procurement team. You will be responsible for framing and executing the overall procurement strategy, corporate policy, driving initiatives across key indirect spend categories (including SaaS, IT hardware, productivity software, test equipment, facilities, travel, contractors, and other third-party services), implementing procurement technology solutions, and building a best-in-class procurement organization. You have a strong track record in indirect procurement management, exceptional negotiation skills, and experience with financial systems like Anaplan to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $204,000 - $307,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.


What you'll be doing:

  • Frame, develop, and implement the overall strategy for Indirect Procurement, ensuring alignment with business goals and evolving market conditions
  • Lead the Indirect Procurement function across all key categories, such as SaaS, travel, IT hardware, productivity software, test equipment, facilities, contractors, and third-party services
  • Drive the selection, implementation, and optimization of procurement software solutions (e.g., Anaplan) to improve efficiency, analytics capabilities, and spend transparency across all indirect procurement activities
  • Establish and foster a high-performing, best-in-class procurement organization by developing robust processes, recruiting top talent, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead complex, high-stakes negotiations to secure competitive terms while mitigating risks. Work closely with Legal and Finance teams to ensure compliance and achieve favorable contract outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring strong performance, risk mitigation, and value generation. Regularly assess supplier capabilities and implement best practices for supplier management
  • Establish and execute category-specific strategies to maximize value, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance across each indirect category     
  • Define and execute against category-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategies to maximize value, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance across each indirect category
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders, including IT, HR, Marketing, and Finance, to align on procurement needs, budget goals, and support the overall business strategy
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements across procurement processes, tools, and policies to enhance efficiency, compliance, and scalability
  • Proactively manage supplier risks and ensure business continuity by implementing policies, controls, and contingency plans across indirect spend categories
  • Develop and proactively manage the Corporate Procurement Policy working cross-functionally across the organization
  • Analyze spend patterns, track savings, and provide insightful reporting to support data-driven decision-making and align with budgetary goals


We’re excited if you have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years in Indirect Procurement, with a proven track record of success in managing SaaS, IT hardware, productivity software, test equipment, facilities, contractor, third-party agreements, and other indirect categories
  • Demonstrated experience framing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends, with the ability to drive long-term value creation
  • Experience with indirect procurement software and finance solutions (e.g., Anaplan) and the ability to lead technology implementation to enhance procurement operations
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building, developing, and inspiring high-performing procurement teams
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex agreements with a focus on securing favorable terms and managing risk
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and best practices across SaaS, travel, contractor, and other indirect procurement categories
  • Proficiency in data analysis and spend analytics to identify savings opportunities, track performance, and drive efficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) are a plus
