Amazon seeks a Financial and Customer Segment Analyst to support our Amazon Business(b2B) vertical. The key task would be to help to help the business in decision support through data analysis and business insight.
Key job responsibilities
The Customer Segment Analyst will act as the Business Support partner for the data streamlining , cost to sell, profitability programs & cost-to-serve under the Amazon B2B team. This includes, among other things, responsibility for launching automation , business metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business:
- Perform business / customer metrics reporting and support monthly analysis/deep dive of the Profitability Programs and sale forecasts.
- Support in monthly/quarterly financial closing activity in close co-ordination with business and other finance teams
- Support the CtS team with business case evaluation, negotiation strategy, customer analysis, vendor analysis
- Facilitate performance review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure right trade-off between growth and profitability
- Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives.- 2+ years of business analysis (dealing with large complex data) experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong skills in accessing and using analytical tools and modelling incl. SQL, Quicksight and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skill- Previous experience in finance business partnering role
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Mathematics or Management
