The Data Science & Analytics organization's mission is to increase our speed, frequency, and acumen of our business decisions and to empower and scale product innovations. We cover a wide area of the data spectrum, including analytical data engineering, product analytics, experimentation, causal inference, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Aligned and partnering with product groups, we use this vast tool belt to discover new opportunities and unmet use cases, influence and shape the product roadmap and prioritization, build data products and measure the impact on our community of players and developers.

As a Data Scientist within our Social team, you'll leverage your technical chops to influence Social product strategy.

You Will:

• Develop and propose strategies for improving communication and co-experience products on Roblox.
• Analyze feature adoption, engagement and monetization and highlight areas of opportunity.
• Conduct metric research to understand tradeoffs between voice engagement and safety and performance.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests autonomously, and drive our understanding of leverage in the context of experiments.
• Develop opportunity sizing models, metric targets, and own reporting and metric narratives shared with c-suite.
• Establish foundational metrics framework and reporting; partner with engineers to scale foundational datasets to drive insights

You Have:

• An Advanced or equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or another technical field
• 4+ years of industry or equivalent experience in Data Science and Analytics
• 4+ years of experience using big data query/processing languages such as SQL, PostgreSQL, Hive, or Spark to transform/manipulate extensive datasets
• 4+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R
• Experience building a team from scratch as an individual contributor
• Experience working with content platforms, specifically user-generated content
• The ability to use analytics results and data storytelling to influence product teams and leaders
