Program Leadership: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the data management platform, from conception and design through implementation and operationalization. Project Management: Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Track progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, IT, and business teams to align project goals and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Delivery: Collaborate with various functional and technical leads to deliver on data management initiatives. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Change Management: collaborate on change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during the rollout of new data management initiatives, addressing potential impacts on stakeholders and operations. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in data management, including data governance, security, and compliance. Operational Oversight: Monitor the performance and reliability of the data management platform, implementing improvements as needed to optimize operations. Engineering: Write SQL queries to support various data delivery criteria, perform code reviews as necessary, e.g. testing scripts. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project processes and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to data management, proposing enhancements to improve system capabilities and performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in engineering, engineering program management or a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Previous programming experience is a must.
  • Working level experience and knowledge of data management disciplines; MDM, metadata, reference data, data quality, data governance and data architecture
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with compliance standards, and data security practices is a plus.
  • Proven experience in program or project management within a technical environment, ideally focused on data management or analytics.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,400 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
