Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, Dropbox Sign

Role Description

As a Senior Engineer for Dropbox Sign, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of collaboration and file sharing. Your responsibilities will revolve around developing and enhancing our suite of Dropbox Products to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, turning innovative ideas into robust, scalable, and user-friendly features.

Responsibilities

• Independently identify and deliver software solutions through a set of milestones spanning a specific product focus or a multi-component system
• Write code alongside junior engineers, demonstrating hands-on technical leadership, understanding root causes, and leading by example.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and analysts to deeply understand user needs and develop products that meet those needs.
• Develop and execute both short and long-term roadmaps, balancing business impact, user experience, and technical excellence.
• Foster a positive team and company culture through mentorship, participation in interviews, and engagement in new initiatives.
• Establish and nurture relationships with other engineering teams and collaborate effectively with other functions within Dropbox.
• Ensure continuous service operation by participating in the team's on-call rotation, including outside core collaboration hours on a periodic basis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering or related industry experience.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
• Proven track record in identifying and delivering software solutions through a set of milestones spanning a specific product focus or a multi-component system
• Developed and shipped large-scale web applications with a user-centric mindset.
• Proficiency in building user-facing software and supporting systems and libraries for web and/or desktop platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Contributions to open source projects or technical communities
• Full-Stack Development
• Technologies: PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Angular, Node.js, Python, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Compensation

Dropbox applies increased tax deductible costs (50%) to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an “author”) for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.
