Senior Software Engineering Manager, Platforms and Devices

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  
• 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  
• Experience managing people managers.
• Experience in developing strategy and organizational planning.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

Platforms and Devices Engineering Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for engineering velocity, infrastructure, and release efficiency for Android, Chrome Browser, ChromeOS, and other products and services at Google.

• Build, lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
• Manage the execution of projects from design to deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely completion.
• Collaborate closely with product and program managers, product engineers, and other stakeholders to define product roadmaps and technical specifications.
• Represent our Poland sites to Platforms and Devices Engineering Infrastructure and Operations leadership.
