Description
You will join the design and validation team responsible for ensuring that internally developed silicon meets the design and functional specifications. You will be responsible for developing and executing test methodologies for validating silicon performance throughout the silicon and product development cycles. You will collaborate with analog mixed signal design, system integration, and automated test equipment (ATE) test engineers. You will be responsible for: - Silicon validation, bench testing, and characterization of custom mixed-signal ICs. - Collaborating with design team on silicon validation and characterization test plans. - Develop electrical tests using analog interfaces, FPGA and JTAG to validate IPs. - Develop board-level solutions for characterization and emulation platforms to meet design team requirements. - Define test equipment, schematic, and layout requirements to enable on-bench testing. - Automate tests, extract results, and generate test reports. Compare measured performance to design specifications. - Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams at silicon and module levels. - Support production engineer and failure analysis debug in the lab.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • BSEE and 3+ years of related industry experience required.
  • Experience testing PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, and voltage references regulators.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment including digital multimeter, source meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power supply, logic analyzer, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Python and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Master’s or PhD preferred in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Excellent Python programming, debug and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PCB bring up and SI/PI measurements.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance tests for standard interfaces like MIPI, DisplayPort, and USB.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
