About the Role 

This is a general posting for multiple Product Analytics roles open across our 4-sided marketplace. You’ll get the chance to learn about the different problems the Product Analytics team solves as you go through the process. You can find a blurb on each team at the bottom of this page.

 

About the Team 

The Product Analytics team helps the business set direction, surface opportunities for growth & efficiency, and solve the company’s toughest cross-functional problems. This is a rare opportunity to impact a high-growth company that’s already changing the way people feed their households.

As a member of the Product Analytics team, you will provide essential support for strategic and product decision-making. Our team excels in using data-driven insights and developing frameworks to address complex challenges within the marketplace. We serve as a point of connection between teams, facilitating collaboration, idea sharing, and alignment, helping Instacart develop more holistic solutions.You will gain high visibility into Instacart’s Product, Operations, Finance, Advertising, Engineering, Business Development and Data Science teams. We’re looking for a self-driven, strategic thinker who can hit the ground running to ultimately influence decision-making across the entire organization.

 

About the Job 

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to prioritize and define the roadmap for the team's direction
  • Creating robust analytical frameworks to refine decision-making across various initiatives
  • Assisting in the sizing and scoping of potential problems and opportunities within our systems
  • Translating complex datasets into understandable narratives and actionable recommendations
  • Proactively identifying areas for significant impact, growth, and investment
  • Engage with senior leadership and executive team on a regular basis

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience utilizing data to inform strategic decisions
  • Comfort working in dynamic and ambiguous environments
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Proven ability to synthesize data into compelling narratives
  • Experience managing and prioritizing work across multiple teams

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with and passion for working in ambiguous, unpredictable, 0-1 environments
  • Experience communicating and engaging with Senior leadership and executive teams

 

OPEN ROLES

Caper:

In this role, you will get to work on a hypergrowth product that is transforming the way customers shop for their groceries in-store. Check out Instacart’s AI-powered, smart grocery carts called Caper carts!You will combine strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of our product and business, to better understand the growing pains and challenges that are unique to each retailer that Caper is and will be live at, provide data-driven solutions to combat those challenges, as well as use this shared understanding to cross-pollinate learnings across retailers. As a member of the Data Science and Analytics team, you will be embedded in Caper’s Growth pillar and work directly with the Growth Product Manager, the Customer Success team and the Retailer Operations team to own retailer success. You will also help better support some of Caper’s key data consumers, such as Customer Success Managers, Retail Partner Managers, Accounting & Finance, Retailer Operations etc.
