This position requires being based in Kent WA with the expectation to frequent travel to Seattle WA Corporate HQ.

Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership & Development:
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all WFS field operation New Hire Events (NHE) across the region
• Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and career development
• Drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Lead and manage performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development initiatives
• Foster an inclusive workplace environment that promotes diversity and collaboration
Operational Excellence:
• Drive operational excellence at New Hire Events (NHE) including scheduling optimization, labor resource allocation, and KPI achievement
• Flawlessly execute standard operating procedures to ensure consistency across all locations within the region
• Establish effective communication strategies across all levels of your regional organization
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Manage budget and resource allocation across the region
Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Drive all strategic initiatives to enhance the candidate experience and drive operational efficiency
• Develop long-term staffing strategies aligned with business growth objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to execute all business requirements
• Drive innovation and share best practices across the region and network

A day in the life
As a Regional Manager you oversee and are accountable but not limited for two main aspects of the Work Force Staffing field operations for a defined geography of multiple(nodes) or market segments with 6 direct reports. 1) Operations of New Hire Events (NHE) including schedules, organizing resources and ensuring node leaders are delivering on all KIP’s, 2) WFS Regional Manager will be responsible for developing strategic plan to engage and develop reporting leaders.
Regionals will be required to visit adjacent NHE sites within a reasonable travel time radius inside the home market during non-travel weeks. For this position travel to the Seattle Market will be required outside travel week schedule. Travel week will consist of a regional visit to each of their Region’s nodes, completing a WFS Regional Visit Form a minimum of once Node per quarter. Travel will account up to 75% of the time.
The Northwest Region covers main and surrounding areas for Seattle/Kent area, Boise ID, Denver CO, Spokane WA, Portland OR, Sal Lake City UT.
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of experience managing hourly and salary employees
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or other tracking and reporting systems like Salesforce
- Cross-functional project management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a fast paced, customer-oriented environment, such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, hospitality, staffing, recruiting, human resources or other related field
- 3+ years of experience managing hourly and salary employees •
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or other tracking and reporting systems like Salesforce
- Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking key performance metrics including return on investment
- Cross-functional project management experience
- Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
