Business Intelligence Data Engineer

The Business Systems team defines and builds the business IT architecture that supports the commercial operation of Waymo's autonomous fleet. The team stands at the intersection of finance, operations and IT; through creative architecture, expertise and attention to detail, it ensures that Waymo has world-class capabilities across all its business processes.

You will report to our Sr. Manager, Supply Chain & GTM Systems and be based out of Hyderabad, India.

You will:

• Build and maintain state of the art reporting infrastructure to enable continuous decision making for Waymo commercialization
• Write high quality and scalable data pipelines with clear definitions, mappings and transformations to enable consistency of metrics across the company
• Work closely with Finance, Accounting and Controls, Operations, Supply Chain, Global Places and Services, Human Resources, and Legal to enable accurate reporting to a wide variety of audiences
• Enrich Waymo owned data sets with 3rd party data to deliver cross functional data applications
• Build a self service data function to enable end users to leverage data and build data literacy
• Maintain financial systems to ensure minimal downtime with efficient solutions driving decision velocity

You have:

• Deep SQL Knowledge
• Building end-to-end data pipelines
• Experience working with stakeholders on dashboarding (Looker, Looker Studio)
• Technologies we work with: BigQuery, Data Fusion, Airflow, APIs, GCP Infrastructure and various internal Google tools (PLX)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience

• Expertise building and maintaining data infrastructure for large organizations
• Data modeling, warehousing and visualization experience
• GenAI (Gemini) and Vertex development
