Key job responsibilities
• Review contracts to identify incentives and obligations requiring specific accounting treatments

• Develop and implement accounting workflows with Finance partners to ensure accurate revenue recognition

• Create Accounting Requirement Documents (ARDs) for major global projects, clearly documenting all accounting treatments

• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for global projects to verify data flow accuracy across all systems

• Lead monthly closing processes by making timely, informed decisions

• Design and assess internal controls for existing and emerging business activities

• Analyze complex financial data and system processes

• Apply accounting and financial principles to support reporting processes

• Research and document support for technical accounting conclusions in policy memos

• Collaborate across the organization to complete projects and align on workflows- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- 2+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience
- CPA
- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
