Physical Security Lead - Executive

We’re looking for an experienced executive protection professional to join a growing global physical security team who will play a critical role in keeping our Pinployees safe and secure. You'll work directly with the Protective Services Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure the safety of our executives at home and while traveling worldwide, conduct and implement security operations for large events, and manage contract security providers. Ideal candidates are passionate about executive protection, security operations, project management, customer service, and building a team. This position is based in San Francisco with global travel requirements, sometimes on short notice. 

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate and implement protective operations for our executives and other employees as assigned, both in the Bay Area and when traveling globally.
• Conduct security and vulnerability assessments, create SOPs and establish standard protocols.
• Accompany our executives in the Bay Area and while traveling.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve and enhance policies, programs, and processes.
• Support Pinterest’s global employee travel security, threat management, and event security programs.
• Coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years executive protection experience from the public or private sector, ideally with experience in fast-paced technology or creative office environments.
• A strong background in security advance work, secure transportation, and event security planning. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with language proficiency in English.
• Experience in working with vendors and managing contracts.
• Experience integrating protective intelligence into operational planning.
• Emergency Medical training/certifications (EMT, TCCC, etc.)
• Knowledge of California legal and regulatory requirements for the security industry.
• Understanding of managing EP tasks across international environments.

• This role will need to be on- site or in an office for in-person collaboration frequently and requires extensive travel multiple times a month. We are looking for candidates in the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles Markets.
