Description
As a software triage engineer on the audio driver and firmware development team you will triage incoming bugs, analyze logs, understand and find your way through the source code, determine priority of issues and most importantly focus on automating and improving this process as much as possible. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creatively. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment, facing exciting new challenges daily. We are seeking someone who is passionate about improving the quality of the audio experience for our customers and our developers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience
  • Have great problem-solving skills, analytical, tools & development experience, and ability to evaluate and identify issues at a code level
  • Understanding of core OS concepts like multi-threading, memory management, power management
  • Excellent written/verbal skills. Able to summarize key points and to work with others to cut through ambiguity and bring issues to resolution
  • Thrives in a dynamic, collaborative team environment

  • BS or MS in CS, EE, or related work experience
  • Experience in shell scripting (Python, Bash or similar) and system languages (C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, or similar)

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,300 and $237,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
