Are you excited about the digital media revolution and is passionate about designing and delivering advanced analytics that directly influence the product decisions of Amazon's digital businesses. Do you see yourself as a champion of innovating on behalf of the customer by turning data insights into action?. The Amazon Digital Acceleration (DA) team is looking for an analytical and technically skilled individual to join our team.

This person will mentor a team of BIE's and Data Engineer's, work with stakeholders to create a roadmap for developing self-service solutions to help us better understand our customers through segmentation and cohort analysis. You will empower data driven decision making through implementing principles of data mining, data modelling and analytical skills to define and measure metrics for evaluating health of the business. You will be able to extract, integrate and work on critical data to build out data pipelines, automate reports and dashboards to communicate your findings and leverage self-service tools to internal stakeholders. In addition to leading analytical tools and reporting, you will provide thought leadership and business analysis support as needed. This role requires you to be able to influence senior leaders of all levels in tech and non-tech.

Key job responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include:

- Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical and business needs
- Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.
- Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle), and learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use
- Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting

Amazon Digital Acceleration powers ordering, subscriptions, and device management for Prime, Amazon Video, Music, Audible, Alexa, and Kindle, amongst other digital businesses. We process billions of digital purchases every year and enable our digital businesses to grow their businesses worldwide. We are on a mission to be earth's best provider of one-time and recurring digital commerce, delivering a seamless and enjoyable post-purchase customer experience.- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
