WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Finance team provides reliable and timely management information that lays the foundation to drive business decisions at Optiver. The team consists of fourteen finance professionals who are responsible for accounting, controlling, and reporting. Although our team members have dedicated focus areas, we work together to achieve our goals, supporting each other on a daily basis.

As strong believers in continuous development, both for the organisation and individuals, our goal is to improve team dynamics, ultimately creating a self-sufficient team providing its own natural successors for all positions. This offers a learning and growth experience, enhancing technical capabilities and soft skills for all team members.

In this role you will:

  • Drive improvement in design for more effective, efficient, and transparent FP&A processes;
  • Serve as a Finance Business Partner;
  • Provide analysis and actionable insights to senior stakeholders which contribute to our growth ambition;
  • Develop financial budgets and forecasts through facilitating cross-functional collaboration;
  • Design financial models to inform executive decision-making regarding operational and capital expenditure;
  • Support the development of automated reporting solutions;
  • Contribute a financial perspective to business projects and initiatives;
  • Exercise control over management and financial reporting;
  • Act as a key resource for business leadership regarding financial planning and ad hoc deliverables.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 8+ years’ of relevant experience working in a finance or management consulting role, or as a business controller/FP&A manager;
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling and data visualisation;
  • Ability to collaborate across management levels and departments, with experience in interacting with and presenting to leadership across diverse teams and locations;
  • Strong business acumen, commercial judgement, and stakeholder management skills with a focus on adding value;
  • Interest in trading infrastructure and technology;
  • Enjoy working in an international environment;
  • Team-player who can work in a structured manner and prioritize effectively;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
