The Role

In this critical role, you will lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic guidance and operational insights to drive our company's growth and profitability. You will partner closely with senior leadership, sales, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute financial plans, analyze performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. 

The most successful person will be a master at getting leverage out of everything they see. Your first six months will ensure that the FP&A team never has to do another repetitive task because you will have built the systems and processes to automate everything and focus your team on delivering huge value to the rest of the organization. 

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including new product launches, market expansion, and M&A activities.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide insightful and actionable recommendations to senior management on financial performance, resource allocation, and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop and analyze commission plans, sales targets, and other key performance indicators.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline FP&A processes, reducing manual workload and improving data accuracy.
  • Build and maintain a robust system of financial reporting and analysis, providing timely and accurate insights to key stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in strategic finance, including financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS business models, metrics, and key drivers of growth and profitability.
  • Experience working with commission plans, sales teams, and other elements of an enterprise sales motion within the Fintech industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement systems and processes that improve efficiency and leverage within FP&A.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience with financial systems and tools, such as NetSuite, Pigment, and Salesforce.

Please note that the role compensation details below reflect the base salary only and do not include any variable pay, equity, or benefits. This represents the salary range that Affinity believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting, that it will pay for the posted job.  

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $138,000.00 - $233,000.00 USD Base. Within the range, individual pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
